Overnight travel restrictions on I-78 westbound in Warren County Aug. 19 – Aug. 23

WARREN COUNTY, NJ – Single-lane travel (two of three lanes closed) is scheduled for I-78 westbound in Warren County during overnight hours Monday, Aug. 19, through Friday, Aug. 23, according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.

The traffic restriction will allow for milling and paving of the I-78 westbound roadway segment from the Phillipsburg/Route 22 and 173 interchange (NJ Exit 3) to the I-78 Toll Bridge at the Delaware River, the commission said.

The lane closures will be implemented each weeknight starting at 8:00 p.m. and ending 7:00 a.m. the next day, the commission said.

Only minor travel delays are anticipated because of low traffic volumes during overnight hours, the commission said.

The anticipated schedule is subject to change due to weather, emergencies, or other factors, the commission said.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution, reduce speeds, and anticipate possible travel delays when traveling through active work zones, the commission said.
