Pedestrian struck, killed on Route 31 in Hunterdon County

GLEN GARDNER BOROUGH, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Route 31 in Hunterdon County Saturday night, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Trooper Troy McNair.

The crash happened at around 10:01 p.m. on Route 31 northbound at milepost 37.3 in Glen Gardner Borough, McNair said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Honda passenger vehicle was traveling northbound on Route 31 when the vehicle struck John Gallic, 62, of Glen Gardner Borough, McNair said.

Gallic suffered fatal injuries and the driver suffered minor injuries, McNair said.

The accident remains under investigation and no additional information was available, McNair said.
