Police investigate report of shots fired on Route 22 in Warren County

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ (Warren County) – Police are investigating a report of shots fired on Route 22 in Phillipsburg Friday night.

Police responded to a report of shots fired on Route 22 West and Prospect Avenue at around 10:30 p.m., officials said.

Officers secured the scene and a section of the highway was closed for a brief time while officers searched the area, authorities said.

“Officers did not find any evidence of a shooting,” police said.
