
Police investigating armed robbery, search for suspect ongoing in Morris County
PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, NJ (Morris County) – Police in Parsippany-Troy Hills are searching for a suspect who is wanted in connection with an armed robbery.
According to police, it happened at 6:51 p.m. on Friday, March 1 at a business located at 1280 Route 46. Prior to police arriving, the suspect, who was in possession of a handgun, had fled the scene.
Police did not specify which business was targeted.
The suspect was described as a tall, slender male, wearing all black clothing, a white trucker-style hat and white sneakers, police said on Thursday.
Upon arrival at the multi-unit building, the officers safely evacuated individuals and conducted an interior and exterior search of the premises for the suspect with negative results, police said.
The Morris County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Section and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit responded to process the scene and search the area, police said.
The suspect description was also broadcasted to the State Police and surrounding agencies who assisted in the search which resulted negative in locating the suspect, police said.
No victims were injured and the incident is currently under investigation, police said.
