Police investigating multiple car burglaries in Hopatcong Borough

HOPATCONG BOROUGH, NJ (Sussex County) – Police are investigating after a number of cars were broken into on Friday morning in Hopatcong Borough.

The car burglaries were reported in the area of Chincopee Avenue, Eugene Road, Mast Road, and Smokerise Road, police said.

Police are urging the public to lock vehicles. Investigators are asking the public to check home security cameras for any footage and alert police if they have information about the case.

Those who believe they were a victim or with surveillance footage are asked to call the Hopatcong Borough Police Department at 973-398-5000.
