Police: Suspect in custody after reported armed robbery in Washington Borough

WASHINGTON BOROUGH, N.J. (Warren County) — A suspect is in custody following a reported armed robbery in Washington Borough on Friday afternoon, according to police.

Washington Township police said they received a report of a robbery with a weapon at 3:43 p.m. Officers arrived quickly and spoke with the victim.

The suspect was identified and brought to the police station. No one was injured in the incident, and investigators described it as isolated with no ongoing threat to the public.

No further information was released.
