Portion of West Hanover Avenue to close July 3 for water main work in Morris Township
Water Main Replacement Project to Affect Traffic Between Speedwell Ave. & Lake Valley Rd.
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — West Hanover Avenue will be closed between Speedwell Avenue and Lake Valley Road on Thursday, July 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., to allow for a water main replacement project, officials announced.
The closure, requested by the Morris Township Police Department, will accommodate work by the Southeast Morris Municipal Utilities Authority at the intersection of Hanover Avenue and Stiles Avenue.
Police will be on-site to assist with traffic control, and detours will be in place throughout the day. Motorists are urged to avoid the Speedwell/Hanover corridor if possible. A detour map has been made available for reference.
