Readington resident named alumni representative to RVCC Board of Trustees

BRANCHBURG TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Somerset County) — Victor Komosinski of Readington Township has been selected to serve as the next alumni representative to the Raritan Valley Community College Board of Trustees, the school announced.

Komosinski graduated from RVCC in May with an associate of arts degree in social science, earning summa cum laude honors. During his time at the college, he served as president of the Student Government Organization and was a member of both the RVCC Honors College and Phi Theta Kappa, the honor society for two-year colleges.

This fall, Komosinski will continue his education at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, where he plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in political science.

Raritan Valley Community College, located in Branchburg, serves Somerset and Hunterdon counties and has been ranked the No. 1 community college in New Jersey by WalletHub.com, Intelligent.com, and CollegeEvaluator.com. The college offers about 90 associate degrees and certificates, as well as career training and professional development courses.

RVCC is also home to an honors college, a planetarium, the 3M Observatory, a science education institute, and a theatre offering professional performances for all ages. The college has been nationally recognized for its community service and environmental stewardship.

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker. His hobbies include mountain climbing, snowmobiling, cooking, performing stand-up comedy and he is an avid squirrel watcher. Jay has been a guest on America’s Morning Headquarters,program on The Weather Channel, and was interviewed by Sam Champion.
