Route 202 southbound lane closure near Somerville Circle to continue Monday

BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Somerset County) — A left-lane closure on Route 202 southbound near the Somerville Circle in Bridgewater Township will continue during the day Monday as crews complete a priority inlet repair, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, the left lane on Route 202 southbound is scheduled to be closed just past the exit to the Somerville Circle and Routes 206 south and 28. The right lane and the exit ramp will remain open while work is underway.

The lane closure is a continuation of repairs that began Thursday, Feb. 5. Transportation officials said an additional day is needed to complete the work.

Motorists traveling through the area are advised to slow down, use caution and expect delays during the closure. NJDOT noted that the schedule is subject to change depending on weather or other factors.

Drivers are encouraged to check real-time traffic conditions by visiting the state’s traffic information website at 511nj.org.
