Route 46 shoulder closures tonight at Canfield Avenue as intersection improvement project begins in Mine Hill Twp.

Overnight closures necessary to install new traffic pattern

MINE HILL TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – The shoulders on Route 46 in both directions at Canfield Avenue are scheduled to be closed at 9:00 p.m. tonight, Friday, September 23 until 5:00 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, September 24 in Mine Hill Township.

The closures are necessary to establish a new traffic pattern that will be in place for approximately six months as an intersection improvement project begins at Route 46 and Canfield Avenue.

The $3 million federally-funded project includes drainage improvements, a new traffic signal, and curb ramp replacements at the intersection of Route 46 and Canfield Avenue in Mine Hill, Morris County.

The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website for construction updates and real-time travel information.
