Stolen vehicle recovered at Morris County UPS facility; Hopatcong woman charged, police say

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Hopatcong woman was arrested after a stolen vehicle was discovered running and unattended at a UPS facility in Budd Lake, according to police.

Police said officers responded at about 9:11 p.m. Dec. 19 to UPS at 303 Waterloo Valley Road following a report of a suspicious motor vehicle. A UPS security officer reported that a gray Kia with no license plates was parked in the loading dock area with the engine running and no occupants present.

According to police, officers located the vehicle and determined through a VIN check that it had been reported stolen. The vehicle was allegedly reported stolen to the New Jersey State Police by Nielsen Chevrolet.

During the investigation, police identified the suspect as Emily R. Graham, 49, of Hopatcong. Authorities said Graham was located on the UPS property and taken into custody without incident.

Police said Graham was transported to police headquarters, where she was charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle. She was later turned over to the New Jersey State Police.
