Team Car Wash to open new Hackettstown location with eco-friendly features

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — A new car wash is under construction in Hackettstown, with Team Car Wash planning to open its 18th site by mid-March, company representative Thomas M. Fuller told RNJ.

The express exterior car wash, operated by the family-owned business headquartered in Westfield, will feature state-of-the-art equipment designed to provide an environmentally friendly wash. A water reclamation system will cut water usage dramatically — from about 140 gallons per vehicle to just 20 gallons.

“There will be 20 free vacuum stations available to customers, including 10 located inside the building for cold winter days,” Fuller said. The site will also offer unlimited wash plans, allowing customers to wash as often as they’d like each month.

Hackettstown was chosen after the closure of a former Rite Aid created a chance to redevelop the property. “The closure of the former Rite Aid drug store provided a unique opportunity to redevelop the property and provide Hackettstown residents with a service that did not exist,” Fuller told RNJ.

The project, at the corner of Mountain Avenue and East Avenue, is expected to create 10 new jobs in the area. Fuller said the car wash is planned to open in mid-March. “We’re targeting mid-March — fingers crossed,” he added.
