Three seriously injured in head-on crash on Route 519 in Warren County

WHITE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — Three people were seriously injured and another sustained moderate injuries in a head-on crash Tuesday evening on County Route 519 in White Township, according to the New Jersey State Police.

Troopers responded to the crash at 5:12 p.m. on County Route 519 North near milepost 41.

According to State Police spokesman Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a preliminary investigation found that a Hyundai passenger vehicle was traveling southbound while a Chevrolet SUV was traveling northbound. Near milepost 41, the Hyundai crossed the double yellow centerline and struck the front of the Chevrolet.

The driver of the Hyundai, Dominick Elio, 51, of Netcong, and a passenger, Doreen Lyns, 58, of Netcong, both sustained serious injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet, Ruthann Disotell, 71, of Belvidere, also suffered serious injuries. A passenger in the Chevrolet sustained moderate injuries.

All four occupants were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was immediately available.
