Traffic stop in Morris County nabs robbery suspect wanted in Pennsylvania
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) — A traffic stop for speeding led to the arrest of a man wanted for robbery out of Pennsylvania early Easter morning in Washington Township.
According to police, on April 20 at around 1:36 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle on Schooley’s Mountain Road for speeding.
During the stop, it was determined that the driver, a 27-year-old male from Baltimore, Maryland, was wanted in Pennsylvania for robbery involving the threat of injury, police said.
The man, whose name was not released, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility, where he awaits extradition to Pennsylvania, police said.
