
Allegedly impaired Warren County man arrested after being found slumped in vehicle with heroin, drug paraphernalia
MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – An allegedly impaired Warren County man was arrested after being found slumped in his vehicle with heroin and drug paraphernalia in Mount Olive Township
On Nov. 15, at 9:40 p.m., police responded to a call reporting a vehicle stopped in the roadway on Vasa Drive, with the driver possibly unconscious.
Upon arriving at the scene, an officer found a Toyota Highlander stopped in the middle of the road. The driver, later identified as Mr. David O’Connor, 31, of Hackettstown, was slumped back in the driver’s seat, with drug paraphernalia in his lap, police said.
After knocking on the driver’s side window, police were able to wake O’Connor, who was then directed to put the vehicle in park. During their interaction, Officer Rodriguez observed signs of impairment, police said.
O’Connor was subsequently arrested, and a search of his vehicle uncovered a total of 64 glassine folds of suspected heroin, 15 empty glassine folds containing suspected heroin residue, and additional drug paraphernalia, police said.
O’Connor was charged with multiple offenses, including possession of CDS heroin, under the influence of CDS, possession of paraphernalia, DWI, reckless driving, obstructing the flow of traffic, and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle. He was released to a sober driver pending a court appearance, police said.
