Two charged after traffic stop leads to weapons, drug seizure in Hunterdon County

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Two people were arrested and charged after police recovered a handgun, ammunition and narcotics during a traffic stop in Clinton Township, authorities said.

The arrests followed an April 17 stop on Route 22 East near Potterstown Road, where an officer observed a red Nissan commit multiple motor vehicle violations, police said.

During the stop, officers located a handgun, ammunition and suspected narcotics inside the vehicle. Both occupants were taken into custody.

The driver, identified as Raven Samone Goudy, 24, of Lumberton, Mississippi, was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of a large-capacity magazine and possession of hollow-point ammunition. She was also issued motor vehicle summonses for improper merging from a driveway or alley and impeding traffic.

The passenger, Steve D. Williams, 21, of Gulfport, Mississippi, was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, possession of a large-capacity magazine, possession of hollow-point ammunition and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Both individuals were transported to the Hunterdon County Jail, police said.
