PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, N.J. (Morris County) — A suspect was shot Wednesday morning during a federal law enforcement operation in Parsippany, authorities said.

The Drug Enforcement Administration’s New Jersey Field Division said agents and federal partners were executing a court-authorized search warrant when shots were fired. One suspect was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No agents were injured, the DEA said.

The incident remains under investigation, and the DEA said it would not release further statements.

Police said the operation prompted significant road closures in the area of Route 202 and Kingston Road. As of 8 a.m., Route 202/Littleton Road had reopened, but Kingston Road between Route 202 and Alloway Road remained closed.

The situation began shortly after 6:30 a.m., when police urged nearby residents to stay indoors. Authorities have not released details about the nature of the operation.
