Warren Community College accepting applications for board of trustees position

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — Applications are being accepted for a position on the Warren Community College Board of Trustees.

The Warren Community College Trustee Search Committee is seeking qualified residents interested in serving as trustees of WCC.

Applicants must have been residents of Warren County for at least four years and may not currently hold elected public office or be employed by Warren County or WCC.

According to the search committee, trustees are expected to devote approximately 20 hours each month to board responsibilities.

Trustee duties include providing fiscal and operational oversight of the college, establishing policies and procedures to be implemented by the administration, evaluating the college president, appointing other staff, determining educational curriculum and programs consistent with the college’s mission, developing and approving master planning concepts, and preparing reports for the New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education, the Warren County Board of County Commissioners and the public.

Interested applicants must submit a resume, a letter describing their interest and ability to serve as a WCC trustee, and any other pertinent materials by Friday, Aug. 7.
