Warren County man arrested for DWI at twice legal limit

PEAPACK & GLADSTONE BOROUGH, NJ (Somerset County) – A Warren County man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he allegedly drove at twice the legal intoxication limit in Peapack & Gladstone Borough.

On Aug. 20, at 3:23 p.m., officers responded to the area of Highland Avenue for the report of an intoxicated male. Upon arrival, the officers made contact with Abioudun Osunsanya, 59, of Philipsburg, police said.

While speaking with Osunsanya, an officer detected that he had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person and was exhibiting signs of intoxication, police said.

After speaking with Osunsanya further, it was revealed that he had driven to the area. He failed several field sobriety tests and was then transported to police headquarters where he was processed for driving while intoxicated. His blood alcohol content was two times the legal limit, police said.

Osunsanya was released to a responsible person pending a court appearance.
