Warren County woman arrested for aggravated assault on law enforcement officer

WASHINGTON BOROUGH, NJ (Warren County) – A Warren County woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting a law enforcement officer in Washington Borough last month, police said Tuesday.

On Sept. 24, at around 8:09 p.m., the Washington Township Police Department responded to a report of a disorderly person at Warren County Discount Liquors, located at 260 West Washington Avenue, police said.

Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of a 37-year-old woman from Washington, NJ. She faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and violating a local ordinance concerning the maintenance of a nuisance, police said.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was lodged in the Warren County Jail, police said.
