Warren Hills wins three awards at 2024 Freddy Awards

EASTON, PA (Northampton County) – Warren Hills Regional High School won three awards Thursday night at the annual Freddy Awards, held at the State Theatre Center for the Arts in Easton.

The Freddy Awards celebrate outstanding achievement in high school musical theater across Lehigh and Northampton counties in Pennsylvania and Warren County, New Jersey.

Warren Hills Regional received 10 nominations ahead of the ceremony, leading all Warren County schools. Hackettstown High School and Phillipsburg High School each earned five nominations. Belvidere High School received two, while North Warren Regional High School and Warren County Technical School each received one nomination.

Students from across the region gathered for the ceremony, which recognizes excellence in acting, direction, choreography, production design, and overall performance.

The Freddy Awards were established to promote and support high school theater while encouraging young performers to continue pursuing the arts beyond the classroom.

Jay Edwards

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker. His hobbies include mountain climbing, snowmobiling, cooking, performing stand-up comedy and he is an avid squirrel watcher.
