West Milford police searching for missing woman last seen in Morris County

WEST MILFORD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Passaic County) — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 34-year-old West Milford woman who was last seen Thursday afternoon in Jefferson Township.

Francesca Carrozza, who lives in the Newfoundland section of West Milford, was reported missing on Saturday, Aug. 9, police said. Her last confirmed sighting was around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, when she was seen leaving Frank’s Pizza on Berkshire Valley Road in Jefferson Township.

Carrozza was last seen wearing a bikini top of unknown color and denim jeans. She is described as about 5 feet 3 inches tall, 140 pounds, with shoulder-length curly blonde hair and a belly button piercing.

Police said Carrozza has a history of mental illness, is without her required medication, and her cellphone is not working. She may be using other people’s phones to make occasional calls and is known to travel on foot unless offered a ride.
