Woman charged after firearm, hollow point ammo found during Morris County traffic stop
DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A 25-year-old Chicago woman was arrested early Wednesday after a traffic stop on Route 80 West led to the discovery of a loaded firearm and hollow point ammunition, Denville police said.
Police stopped Gabriella Neris at about 12:40 a.m. on May 28 for a moving violation related to careless driving. During the stop, officers allegedly found a loaded firearm in her possession, along with hollow point ammunition, authorities said.
Neris was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of hollow point ammunition, careless driving, and having an open container of marijuana in a motor vehicle.
She was released pending a mandatory court appearance.
