Woman charged with drug offenses following police investigation in Hunterdon County
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — A 53-year-old woman was arrested after police discovered suspected methamphetamine during a suspicious vehicle investigation last month in Clinton Township, police announced in a release Monday.
According to police, the arrest followed a routine business check on June 25, when an officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked behind a business in a delivery zone. Upon speaking with the driver, Lynda J. Szollosy, officers saw narcotics in plain view.
K-9 Uzza and his handler were called to the scene, where the dog alerted to the presence of narcotics. During a subsequent vehicle search, officers found baggies of suspected methamphetamine and folded dollar bills with suspected residue.
Szollosy was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, loitering with intent to use/sell/obtain a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), operating a motor vehicle while in possession of CDS, and driving with expired registration.
She was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Hunterdon County Superior Court.
