Woman charged with drug possession after Hunterdon County traffic stop

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — A Flemington woman was arrested on drug charges after a motor vehicle stop in Clinton Township last month, police said.

The stop occurred Aug. 13 on Route 31 South near Halstead Street after an officer observed a blue Chrysler with a non-functioning taillight. A records check showed the vehicle’s registration was suspended.

Police said the front-seat passenger, identified as Tara L. Manfredi, 46, of Flemington, was found in possession of suspected controlled dangerous substances following a K-9 search. Authorities said the search uncovered a metal vial, a rolled dollar bill containing residue and a pipe, all with suspected CDS.

Manfredi was arrested and charged with possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to wear a seatbelt. She was released pending a court date in Hunterdon County Superior Court.

The driver of the Chrysler was issued a summons for maintenance of lamps.
