Woman charged with DUI after crash in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Morris Plains woman was arrested Friday night on driving under the influence and other charges after crashing her vehicle off Franklin Road in Denville Township, police said.

Officers responded at about 10:52 p.m. Aug. 8 to reports of a black sedan that had gone into the woods near the train overpass, according to police.

The driver, identified as Marcie B. Levinson, 60, was determined to be impaired due to alcohol and/or drugs, police said. She was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing.

Levinson was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, careless driving, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane. She was released to a sober friend pending a future appearance in Denville Municipal Court.
