Driver dies after suffering medical episode on I-287 in Morris County

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A driver died after suffering medical episode on Interstate 287 in Morris County Tuesday afternoon, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Detective Jeffrey Lebron.

Troopers responded to a medical assist on Jan. 2 at 5:10 p.m. on Interstate 287 southbound at milepost 38 in Hanover Township, Lebron said.

Once troopers arrived, the driver of a Chevy pick-up, who was a 53-year-old Bernardsville man, suffered a medical episode in the driver’s seat, Lebron said.

The man was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, Lebron said.

Additional information was not available, Lebron said.
