Plow truck fire extinguished at Hunterdon County home

WEST AMWELL TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Firefighters extinguished a plow truck fire Saturday afternoon at a residence on Route 179 in West Amwell Township, according to the West Amwell Fire Company.

Crews were dispatched at 2:25 p.m. and found the plow truck fully involved at the top of a snow-covered driveway, officials said. A brush unit used four-wheel drive to reach the vehicle while an engine staged at the bottom of the driveway.

The fire was put out using about 250 gallons of water from the brush truck, the department said. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
