Woman in Morris County charged for not scanning items at Walmart self-checkout

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A woman from Morris County has been accused of stealing items from Walmart by failing to scan them at the self-checkout.

On July 6, an officer responded to the Walmart, located at 40 International Drive South in the Flanders section of Mount Olive Township, to meet with the loss prevention officer for a female in custody for shoplifting.

The woman, who was identified as Patricia Baldeo, 19, of Netcong, was allegedly observed at the self-checkout register failing to scan merchandise, police said.

Baldeo was charged with shoplifting and released pending a court appearance, police said.
