15-year-old girl missing out of Morris County

UPDATE: Missing 15-year-old Morris County girl found safe

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 15-year-old girl, who has been missing since July 27 and was last seen in Morris Township, according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll.

Shoshana Acevedo, who also goes by the nickname Sho, was last seen on Hanover Avenue in Morris Township on July 27 at 11:00 p.m.

She has ties to Belvidere in Warren County, Somerset County, and the Palmer, Pennsylvania area. She has no cell phone, Carroll said.

An initial search utilizing MCSO K-9’s and a drone was unsuccessful, Carroll said.

At this point in the investigation, members of Morris County law enforcement are now seeking the public’s assistance in locating Shoshana, Carroll said.

Shoshana has brown hair, brown eyes, weighs approximately 138 pounds and is 5 feet 2 inches tall, Carroll said.

Anyone with information regarding Acevedo’s whereabouts or this investigation is encouraged to make contact with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Missing Persons Unit On-Call Detective through the Morris County Communications Center at 973-285-2900.
