2 arrested following traffic stop in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Two Morris County residents were arrested following a traffic stop Saturday in Denville Township.

On Feb. 24, an officer stopped a vehicle for a moving violation, police said.

During the course of the investigation, Dionnie Barnes, 26, of Parsippany-Troy Hills was arrested and charged with possession of psilocybin mushrooms, DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, possession of narcotics in a motor vehicle, possession of an alcohol container, police said.

A passenger, Tatiana Pearson, 26, of Rockway, was arrested for having an active Denville Municipal Court ATS warrant, police said.

Barnes and Pearson were then released pending court appearances, police said.
