5 injured after van overturns on I-80 in Warren County

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Five people were injured after a van flipped over on Interstate 80 in Warren County Saturday night, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Detective Jeffrey Lebron.

The crash happened at around 9:02 p.m. on Interstate 80 westbound at milepost 19.6 in Allamuchy Township, Lebron said,

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Ford van occupied by six people were traveling westbound on I-80 when the driver lost control, causing the van to strike the center median and overturn onto its side, Lebron said.

Five passengers suffered minor injuries and were transported to an area hospital, Lebron said.

The accident remains under investigation and no additional information was available, Lebron said.
