Man faces DWI, drug charges following Morris County crash

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County)- A man is facing driving while intoxicated and drug charges after a crash Tuesday in Denville Township, police said.

On April 30, at 5:00 p.m., police responded to the parking lot of Mavis Discount Tire, located at 44 Righter Avenue, for a report of a motor vehicle accident, police said.

During the investigation, it was deteremiend that the driver of the vehicle, who was identified as Steven Alterisio, 31, of Dover, was allegedly operating his vehicle while under the influence, police said.

Additionally, Alterisio was found to be in possession of CDS paraphernalia, police said.

Alterisio was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of CDS paraphernalia, reckless driving, careless driving, and Improper display of plates. He was then released pending a court appearance, police said.
