Lane closures scheduled for I-78 repaving and security-improvement project in Warren County July 22-26

WARREN COUNTY, NJ – The following travel restrictions are scheduled for a roadway rehabilitations and security-improvement project along the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission-controlled portion of I-78 in Phillipsburg, Alpha Borough and Pohatcong Township during the week of July 22:

  • I-78 westbound from milepost 0.8 in New Jersey to the Pennsylvania side of the I-78 Toll Bridge for electrical conduit installation work — two lanes open (one of three lanes closed) 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 22, to Friday, July 26.
  • I-78 eastbound from I-78 Toll Bridge to Routes 22/173 interchange (Exit 3) for milling and paving — one lane open (two of three lanes closed) 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (next day) on nights of Monday, July 22, through Friday, July 26.

Minor delays are possible at lane-taper points, the commission said.

Motorists are urged to reduce speed and exercise caution whenever traveling through active work zones, the commission said.
