County College of Morris launches Honors Program for high-achieving students

RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — County College of Morris (CCM) has announced the launch of its new Honors Program, designed for students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and a commitment to scholarly excellence. Applications for the program officially opened June 1, 2025.

“The best thing about CCM Honors is the opportunity for greater exploration,” said Samantha Gigliotti, director of CCM Honors. “Students are able to spend more time on topics that interest them, leading to a greater understanding and appreciation of the topic.”

The CCM Honors Program focuses on promoting personal, academic and intellectual development through three key pillars: innovative teaching and learning, experiential opportunities, and assessment. The program offers students the chance to engage deeply with course material, participate in discipline-specific experiences, and take part in collaborative, interdisciplinary education.

Students in the program work toward earning an Honors designation on their transcript upon degree completion. Program participants also gain access to exclusive workshops, networking opportunities, scholarship eligibility, and recognition through the Distinguished Honors Student Award. Honors students may also present their research at the Student Showcase and request recommendation letters from CCM’s president and the Honors director.

To qualify, applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria: ranking in the top 10% of their high school graduating class, a combined SAT score of 1240 or higher, or a composite ACT score of 26 or higher.

More information and the application can be found at www.ccm.edu/honors-study. Questions may be directed to the program via email at honors@ccm.edu.
