UPDATE: All eastbound lanes reopen after tractor-trailer overturns on I-80 in Allamuchy Township; minor injuries reported

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) — All lanes have reopened on Interstate 80 eastbound following an early morning crash involving a tractor-trailer and SUV that temporarily shut down the highway Monday, according to New Jersey State Police.

Troopers responded to the scene at milepost 22.2 in Allamuchy Township around 3:44 a.m., Sgt. Charles Marchan said. A preliminary investigation revealed that a Freightliner tractor-trailer was traveling east when it lost directional control and overturned. A Honda SUV, also traveling east, struck the overturned truck.

State Police reported non-life-threatening injuries at the scene. The crash led to the closure of all eastbound lanes for several hours before they were fully reopened later in the morning.

The crash remains under investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
