Man charged after disturbance at Warren County tavern

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — A Rockaway man is facing charges after police said he caused a disturbance early Sunday morning at Grand Avenue Tavern in Hackettstown.

On November 2, 2025, at approximately 1:39 a.m., an police officer observed the manager and a security guard physically removing Daniel Y. Mogollon Czupza, 20, of Rockaway, from the parking lot of Grand Avenue Tavern, 109 Grand Avenue. Police said Mogollon Czupza was physically resisting the men and yelling aggressively at them.

During the investigation, police determined that Mogollon Czupza had been involved in an incident inside the establishment. Due to his behavior, the bar manager asked him to leave. He refused and began resisting as security personnel attempted to escort him from the premises.

While officers were attempting to speak with Mogollon Czupza, he allegedly became verbally combative with the bar manager, moved aggressively toward him, and threatened to kill him, according to police.

Mogollon Czupza was issued a summons for disorderly conduct and released pending a court appearance in Hackettstown Municipal Court.
