CCM president named to ROI-NJ higher education power list for seventh straight year

RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County)County College of Morris President Dr. Anthony J. Iacono has been named to ROI-NJ’s “Influencers: Power List 2026 — Higher Education,” marking the seventh consecutive year he has received the recognition.

ROI-NJ, a New Jersey-based business news publication, cited Iacono’s leadership in advancing student success, workforce development partnerships and program expansion. He was one of two community college presidents included on this year’s list.

“I am honored to continue to be recognized by ROI-NJ, as it reflects the transformative work happening at County College of Morris,” said Iacono. “Community colleges play a critical role in strengthening our economy and expanding opportunities. At CCM we are building innovative programs and deepening partnerships with industry to provide our graduates with the skills and experiences needed to thrive in today’s workforce. By aligning education with the needs of our region, we are helping to drive economic mobility for our students and long-term prosperity.”

Iacono has served as president of CCM since 2016. During his tenure, the college has expanded partnerships with employers, community organizations and industry leaders to address workforce needs and increase opportunities for students.

College officials said CCM graduates about 1,000 students each year and maintains one of the higher graduation and transfer rates among New Jersey community colleges.

The institution also reported generating $586.1 million in added income for the regional economy during the 2022–23 fiscal year.

ROI-NJ has previously recognized Iacono on several of its higher education lists, including categories for community college presidents and top influential leaders.

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker.
