Multiple structures burn in Butler fire; one person treated for minor injuries

BUTLER, N.J. (Morris County) — A fire involving multiple structures broke out early Thursday on Main Street in Butler, prompting a large emergency response and leaving one person with minor injuries, authorities said.

The Butler Police Department received a 911 call at approximately 2 a.m. reporting a fire in the 100 block of Main Street, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

Fire crews arrived to find multiple buildings on fire. The Butler Fire Department, along with several surrounding agencies from Morris and Passaic counties, responded to extinguish the blaze.

One resident was treated at the scene for minor injuries and released.

The incident remains under investigation by the Butler Police Department and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office. No additional information was available.
