Hackettstown featured in upcoming Netflix series ‘Big Mistakes’

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Scenes from an upcoming Netflix series were filmed in Hackettstown last year, with town officials highlighting the local connection ahead of the show’s release.

Officials said Episode 5 of the new series “Big Mistakes” was filmed at the Hackettstown Livestock Auction on West Stiger Street during a production day in September 2025.

The series, created by Emmy award-winning actor Dan Levy, is described as a comedic family saga set within a high-stakes crime thriller. It follows siblings Nicky, played by Levy, and Morgan, played by Taylor Ortega, as they become entangled in organized crime after a botched attempt to help their grandmother.

“Big Mistakes” features a cast that includes Laurie Metcalf, Abby Quinn, Elizabeth Perkins and others, and is produced by Levy along with Rachel Sennott and several executive producers.

The eight-episode series is scheduled to premiere April 9 on Netflix.
