CCM Foundation to host April 30 gala honoring community partners
RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — The County College of Morris Foundation will host its annual gala later this month, recognizing community partners and raising funds to support students and college initiatives.
The event, titled “One College, One Community, One Special Night,” is scheduled for Thursday, April 30, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park.
Organizers said the gala will support scholarships, programs and initiatives at the college while honoring individuals and organizations that have contributed to the institution and its mission.
The evening will include a reception with food and beverages, followed by a formal program recognizing this year’s honorees.
The Gilead Foundation will receive the Philanthropy Award for its support of health equity initiatives, including a $150,000 grant for CCM’s forthcoming Center for Health Professions.
Crum & Forster will be honored with the Community Partner Award for its financial and mentorship support, particularly for the college’s Promise Program.
Hurley Fox, a 2015 graduate and business owner, will receive the Alumnus of the Year Award for his professional achievements and contributions to student scholarships.
Marcela I. Lenox, chief advancement officer of the West Morris Area YMCA, will be presented with the Dr. Edward J. Yaw Leadership Award for her work in community engagement and organizational leadership.
Officials said the CCM Foundation, a nonprofit organization, plays a key role in supporting workforce development and educational opportunities across Morris County.
