Single-lane traffic with flaggers planned on Upper Black Eddy-Milford bridge May 6-8

MILFORD BOROUGH, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Drivers crossing the Upper Black Eddy-Milford Toll-Supported Bridge should expect delays next week as lane restrictions are scheduled for inspections, officials said.

The bridge will be limited to a single lane with flagger-controlled alternating traffic in each direction from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, through Friday, May 8.

The restriction will allow a consulting engineering firm to conduct federally required inspections of the bridge.

Officials said brief stoppages and travel delays are possible during the work.

Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution and follow directions from flaggers while traveling through the area. The schedule is subject to change due to weather, emergencies or other factors.
