County officials said Hunterdon remains one of New Jersey’s leading agricultural counties, with local farms continuing to contribute significantly to the region’s economy, tourism industry and quality of life.

Hunterdon County has also promoted agritourism through initiatives such as the “579 Trail” and “Explore Hunterdon” tourism campaign, which showcase farms, wineries, breweries, markets and outdoor attractions throughout the county.

Officials said programs like the state Agritourism Grant Program help farms expand visitor experiences while strengthening local businesses and preserving New Jersey’s agricultural heritage.
