
Driver escapes after car crashes into Lake Parsippany
PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, N.J. (Morris County) — A 27-year-old woman escaped injury after her vehicle left the roadway and entered Lake Parsippany on Tuesday in Parsippany-Troy Hills, police said.
According to police, the woman was driving a 2016 Mini Cooper on Adelphia Road when she failed to stop at the intersection with Lake Shore Drive. The vehicle crossed a curb and grassy area before coming to rest in Lake Parsippany.
The driver was able to get out of the vehicle on her own and spent a short time in the water before being assisted to shore by first responders.
She was transported to Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville for a medical evaluation.
Fire personnel determined there were no hazardous materials concerns, and the vehicle was safely removed from the lake.
No summonses were issued at this time, police said.
