Mosquito control treatments scheduled Wednesday in four Morris County municipalities

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — The Morris County Division of Mosquito Control has scheduled mosquito control treatments Wednesday in portions of four municipalities due to an increase in adult mosquito populations.

Weather permitting, all-terrain vehicle (ATV) applications are scheduled from 4 to 6 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at the following locations:

  • Montville: Horseneck Road (Community Park and amphitheater)
  • Chatham Township: Tanglewood Lane (Sewer Treatment Plant)

Truck-mounted mosquito spraying is also scheduled from 9 p.m. Wednesday to midnight at the following locations:

  • Jefferson Township: Weldon Road (Camp Jefferson)
  • Florham Park: Schindler Drive, Sterling Drive, Sun Valley Way, Darling Drive and Passaic Avenue

The treatments will use either Anvil 2+2, containing the active ingredient Sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, containing the active ingredient Etofenprox, depending on conditions.
