Cash reward offered as police seek help in Hunterdon County vehicle theft investigation

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Police are offering a cash reward for information as they continue investigating the theft of a high-end vehicle from a Clinton Township dealership, authorities said.

The Clinton Township Police Department announced that it is seeking the public’s assistance in connection with an April 2025 motor vehicle theft at Clinton Acura. According to police, a red Land Rover Range Rover was reported stolen from the dealership lot on April 10, 2025.

Investigators said an unknown individual exited the passenger side of a vehicle that had stopped on Route 31, accessed the Range Rover — believed to be either through the use of a cloned key fob or the vehicle’s actual key — and drove the vehicle from the property.

Police said surveillance footage from two days earlier showed the same vehicle at the dealership on April 8, 2025, when it was viewed by a couple. Investigators later identified one of those individuals as Tiffine O. Kyte, a 36-year-old woman from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, who is also known to frequent the Cambria Heights area of New York City. An unidentified male, described as wearing what appeared to be a UPS uniform, was also observed, police said.

As a result of the investigation, Kyte was arrested on Jan. 5, 2026, and charged with conspiracy to commit theft of a motor vehicle valued in excess of $75,000, a second-degree crime, authorities said.

Through law enforcement intelligence sharing and regional bulletins, investigators determined that Kyte and the unidentified male are believed to have used a similar modus operandi at multiple locations throughout New Jersey and surrounding states, police said.

The Clinton Township Police Department is asking anyone with information about the incident, the identity of the unknown male, or similar suspicious activity involving high-end vehicle thefts to contact the department. Tips may be provided anonymously.

Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Hunterdon County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-321-0010, visiting www.CrimeStoppersHunterdon.com, or using the free “P3 Tips” smartphone app. A cash reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspects, officials said.
