Corrado resolution honoring Purple Heart veterans becomes law

NEW JERSEY – A bipartisan joint resolution sponsored by Senator Kristin Corrado (R-40) that would declare New Jersey as a Purple Heart State was signed into law this week.

“Today’s declaration is more than symbolic – it is a powerful testament to our unwavering admiration and support for the brave men and women of New Jersey who have selflessly sacrificed for our freedoms,” said Corrado. “By becoming the fourth state in the nation to honor Purple Heart Medal recipients with this declaration, New Jersey continues to build upon our commitment to recognize the valor of our Veterans and honor their enduring legacy.”

Senator Corrado’s resolution, SJR-103, honors the contributions and sacrifices of New Jersey service members who have received the Purple Heart Medal. New Jersey is the fourth state in the country to make this declaration.
