
CrimeStoppers offers up to $1,000 reward in Morris County homicide investigation
CHESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Morris County CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps investigators in the homicide of Brooke Hanlon, 35, of Chester.
The Morris County Sheriff’s Office announced the reward as the investigation by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Chester Township Police Department and Morris County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit continues.
Emergency medical services personnel and Chester Township police officers responded to a 911 call at a residence on Pottersville Road in Chester Township during the late afternoon of June 6. Upon arrival, first responders found Hanlon dead inside the home.
An examination by the Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of death was multiple sharp force injuries. The manner of death was ruled a homicide.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about Hanlon’s death or any suspicious activity observed in the area of Pottersville Road on June 6 to come forward.

CrimeStoppers said tipsters will not be asked to identify themselves and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if their information leads to progress in the investigation.
Authorities have not released any additional details about the homicide, saying the investigation remains active and ongoing.
