Cyclist dies after Route 10 crash in Morris County; GoFundMe launched to support family

ROXBURY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) – A 21-year-old cyclist who was struck by a vehicle while crossing Route 10 has died from his injuries, authorities said Friday.

Colin Robertson, of Succasunna, was hit by a Subaru Crosstrek around 9:15 p.m. on June 16 while crossing the roadway near Hillside Avenue, according to the Roxbury Police Department. He was transported to Morristown Medical Center in serious condition and died on June 23.

The driver of the Subaru was not injured and remained at the scene. No charges have been filed, police said.

The incident remains under investigation by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and Roxbury Police Department.

The Robertson family is now facing an unimaginable loss. Colin, a 2022 graduate of Roxbury High School, was known for his love of playing the drums and spending time thrift shopping with friends. He was also an organ donor, a final act of generosity that helped save the lives of five people.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help cover funeral expenses and provide some relief from the loss of income, allowing the family to focus on healing and honoring Colin’s memory.

“The Robertson Family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of support from friends, neighbors and the wider community,” the fundraiser reads. “Every contribution, no matter the size, will help them face the difficult days ahead.”
