Experience captivating live performances this spring at County College of Morris

Music, Song and Dance Shows Throughout April and May

RANDOLPH TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – This spring, the community is invited to enjoy a variety of live performances at County College of Morris (CCM), presented by the Marielaine Mammon School of Music, Performing Arts, and Music Technologies.

From dance showcases to choir concerts and cabaret performances, these events—many of which are free to attend—offer an exciting opportunity to experience the exceptional talents of CCM students and faculty.

Kicking off the spring season is a “Dance Theatre Showcase,” featuring dynamic performances by CCM’s dance students. The first performance will take place on Friday, April 4, at 12:30 p.m. and admission is free. A second showcase, to be held on Saturday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m., will have general admission tickets priced at $10. Both showcases will take place in Dragonetti Auditorium.

“Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812,” an electropop opera by award-winning composer Dave Malloy, is based on a scandalous slice of Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace. This stunning musical production will run from Wednesday, April 23, through Saturday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Dragonetti Auditorium. General admission tickets are $15, while CCM students, alumni, children under 12, and seniors 62 and over are $10.

The program continues with a “Chamber Choir Concert” to be held on Friday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Dragonetti Auditorium. Admission is free, providing the public with an opportunity to enjoy the harmonious voices of CCM’s talented vocalists in a live setting.

For Broadway enthusiasts, “Cabaret: Tony-Winning Broadway Musicals” will be held on Monday, May 5, at 7:30 p.m. Taking place in CCM’s Marielaine Mammon Black Box Theatre in the Music Technology Center (Room 105), this intimate performance will showcase the finest voices at CCM performing well-known Broadway hits. Admission is free, but seating is limited.

“Spotlight on Music,” a faculty-student collaboration, will round out the season. This lively and engaging show will take place on Tuesday, May 6, at 12:30 p.m. in Dragonetti Auditorium and is free to attend.

The Marielaine Mammon School of Music, Performing Arts, and Music Technologies at CCM offers associate degree programs in dance, liberal arts and sciences with a humanities/music option, music technology with a specialization in electronic music or music recording, and music theatre. The curriculum provides a foundation for career pathways as well as the requirements needed to transfer and continue studying toward a bachelor’s degree at a four-year institution.
